And you'll make me proud

My sweet little Aayansh,
ALWAYS see the good in people
And you'll make me proud.

Never judge someone by their name
And you'll make me proud.

Find a way to connect with hearts
And you'll make me proud.

Remember that it was a woman who created you.
Never assume a woman to be weak.
And you'll make me proud.

Don't get good grades, but try to find the answers
And you'll make me proud.

Don't always accept things people say.
Ask questions.
And you'll make me proud.

If you ever bring a tear to someone's eye
Make them smile and you'll make me proud.

Give respect and earn it
And you'll make me proud.

Don't laugh at another's expense
Learn to laugh at yourself
And you'll make me proud.

Never compare your wife to your mother
Remember she loves you as much as (or more than) I do.
And you'll make me proud.

Read, travel and explore because you want to.
Not to post pictures to social networking sites.
And you'll make me proud.

Acknowledge other people and cultures.
Learn to enjoy their diversity without comparing.
And you'll make me proud.

Be humble and Know that someone out there might be better than you.
And you'll make me proud.

Do what gives you happiness
And you'll make me proud.

And share that happiness with people you love the most
And you'll make me proud.

My Little Big Man

My Dearest Aayu,

You are three and a half months old now and sometimes I forget how tiny you are. When I hold you close and look into your beautiful, almond-shaped eyes, you seem like a grown man who understands every thing I do or do not say. And then, there are times when I put my palm over your chest while you  are asleep, I  realize that you and I have a lot of growing up to do.

I love you more than I love anyone in the world. Thanks for coming into my life and giving me the chance of being called a mommy.
